Welcome to the Tiger Mountain Kennel
Beginning with Mary Rose and Norman Jepsky in 1973, the Tiger Mountain Kennel was established and has proudly served Seattle area pet owners. For over 40 years our family operated boarding kennel has been in the business of watching over your four legged companions. Now managed by Jane Jepsky Tierney and John Tierney, the Tiger Mountain Kennel staff has a shared passion for providing exceptional care and we enjoy getting to know each and every visitor. At this time we are not accepting reservations for dogs under 6 months old, females in estrous and un-altered males over 1 year. Due to new liability insurance requirements we limit certain breeds from our facilities, please contact us for additional details prior to making a reservation request.
Our dog boarding facilities have 18 covered runs (4 feet by 10 feet) with a newly renovated heated sleeping area in every run. Inside the kennel facility we have dedicated rooms that include 5 large cat play pens. With 3 levels, these cat pens are 4 feet x 3 feet at the base and 5 feet high. The food preparation area has a refrigerator and freezer for storing perishable foods.
DOG BOARDING
Each dog is walked THREE times a day for 15 minutes at 7am, noon and 7pm around 20 acres on Tiger Mountain. Walks typically are on our trails but can include walks down by the river in the summer or in the large grass field. With plenty of land to explore we can provide your pet a fun and outdoorsy experience during their time with us.
Additionally, each dog is fed TWICE a day and given personal attention during this time. Whether playing with there favorite toy or bringing in their favorite treat, we work to ensure that every pet is enjoying there stay. We provide some popular dog foods however, we discourage changing foods from what they are used to eating.
CAT BOARDING
Each play pen has a variety of entertainment items for your cat and we encourage you to bring your cat's favorite toys as well. Each play pen can house up to two cat's. We all strive to give personal attention to each one of our cats and form friendly relationships with every pet we take care of.
When you come for a visit please bring your cat's normal food and we will continue with your usual feeding routine. A refrigerator in our feeding room allows for cold food to stay fresh during your pet's stay. We have a total capacity for six cats, so make sure to book well in advance for summer and holiday season.
